To everyone taking part in the great river race please ensure you read the guidance notes found at
www.greatriverrace.co.uk/racers.phpFor those camping on the Friday night- a few of us intend to get there early to set up camp if anyone wants to join us.
The campsite is at Thames Young Mariners, Riverside drive, Ham, TW10 7RX. The campsite is s short walk to the finish line.
No cars are allowed on site so you will need to park your car and carry your kit to the campsite. Apparently there is ample parking in Riverside drive.
There are porta loos and I think showers on site but I have no idea what they are like (bring wet wipes!! Lol)
Friday night BBQ and live music was fantastic last year. This is in the marquee on the campsite. I will find out times of this.
Saturday morning (race day !!!)
The bus will leave the campsite at 07.45am!!
The start of the race is 12.30 lunch time and last year it took just under 3hrs to complete.
For those on the Viscount passenger boat following the race- the boat boards at 11.40am from Masthouse Terrace Pier which is a short walk from the race start.
The race and passenger boat both finish at the same place just in front of Ham house (a short walk from the campsite) where there is more live music beer tents presentations and food all afternoon and well in to the evening :-)
