Round 2 of the Winter Series. It will be in the form of time trials and gigs will go off at 1 minute intervals in single file (the river is not wide enough for boats to go off in pairs).

PLAN FOR THE DAY

Because we have been asked not to arrive between 11-11.30am
during the REMEMBRANCE SERVICE ON THE QUAY, I am suggesting the following timings:

9:00 Meet at the garage:
9:15 Depart
10:15 / 10:30 arrive Rowhedge, hopefully avoiding any disturbance to the Remembrance Ceremony. Prepare boats for a quick launch after the ceremony. Bacon sandwiches available from the RCRC hut.
(11:00 to 11:30 Remembrance Service on the Quay, RCRC will be attending and welcome any crews to join them).
11:45 Registration:/Briefing for Coxes
12:00 Launching starts as there is no water beforehand.
Approximate start times (due to the memorial service on the quayside)
12:45 Ladies Race
13:30 Men’s Race
14:15 Mixed Race

High Tide 2.00pm 5.0m

There will be a different storage area /drop off point for gigs. Please use the private grass quayside to the right of the Albion ( enclosed by grey metal fencing). This will fit trailers and gigs only if parked up neatly, NO CARS.

Cars must be parked at the village hall in Rectory Road a 5 minute walk away.
