Hello Rowers

Just a reminder that on Sunday 17 June Stour Sailing Club will once again be hosting our ‘Wrabness Race’ from the Start line in Manningtree – down the beautiful Stour Estuary towards Harwich and Felixstowe to Wrabness and back – all in all just over 7 miles.

High Water is 3.40, Race Briefing will be 1.30 and the Race start will be 2.30 with boats going off with our traditional gun start. As usual food and refreshments will be available both before and after the event, the Marquee is up, the Bunting Is up, the Bar will be open and this year we will even have some post race live music from a very special new local band.

The event is open to all boats and crews – and as usual GRR based handicapping will be applied for fixed seat coxed boats, and there will be class categories as well. Sliding seat boats suitable for our tidal estuary are also very welcome. Entry will be £3 per person.

More details and updates on the Manningtree Rowing Festival Facebook Page or the Stour Sailing Club Website – or just give me a shout!

Many Thanks

Caroline
