Here are the details for our amazing two days of racing. Crews now confirmed.
Don’t forget Fancy dress Hawaiian theme on Sunday. Flying hornets the welcome sailor on Saturday night and FBI at the crouch Sunday night.

*****Sunday 30th 2015 (HW 1345)*****From 10.00 hrsBoats launched from Burnham Yacht Harbour and taken to Burnham sailing club pontoon.
From 10.00 hrsRegistration will be held at the Crouch YC.Race fees are £5 per boat per race. However as per our club agreement we will pay £5 per rower and the rest goes to the club fund. Unless of course you are able to volunteer for the organising then you will not have to pay anything.Bacon butties, tea and coffee will be available for £2 each
12.00hrsRace briefing at the Crouch YC, races will be sprint distances of one mile. Fancy dress is optional but there ‘May’ be a prize for best fancy dress.!!!!
13.00hrsStart of races: Ladies 1300hrs, Men’s 13.45hrs followed by mixed 14.30hrs. All coxswains will be in possession of a marine radio on CH37.
16.00hrsPrize giving at the Crouch YC. There will be a trophy for the winners of the Men’s, ladies and mixed teams. Some other prizes will be awarded including best fancy dress.17.00hrsDinner is served. There will be vegetable curry or chilli available at the Crouch YC again for a small donation.19.30hrsDoors open to our evening event held at Crouch YC. Live music from FBI starting at 9pm, this is a very popular local band as is not to be missed. Entry is free to rowing club competitors and officials with your Burnham week wrist band (You will be given this at registration) and £3 to anyone without a wristband.There may be camping available at the burnham sailing club. Trish is trying to sort this so will keep you posted.
All dayOther attractions during races include BBQ (weather permitting), and Bar. This will be held at the Crouch YC.

This is the LORD NELSON CUP and HARKERS YARD Summer Series race
09.00hrsBacon butties at Crouch YC10.00hrsRemainder of Boats launched at the Marina, instructions as above. Registration at the Crouch YC12.30hrsBriefing at Crouch YC.14.00hrsLord Nelson cup and Harkers Yard summer series race, mass race start from town quay, course 5 miles in front of the town and spectators with plenty of turns to test the teams to max and give a good spectacle. This is one race of mixed teams, two men two women and cox can be either. All coxswains will be in possession of a marine radio on CH37.There may even be local TV and radio coverage so make sure you have your make up done!!15.00hrsBoat recovery back at the marina.16.00hrsPrize giving at the Crouch YC. There is a HUGE cup that will presented to the winner of the Nelsons cup by the Mayor of Maldon. The main event during Burnham Week is the Nelson Cup which was launched to commemorate the Battle of Trafalgar. There will also be a presentation to the winner of the Harkers yard class.
All dayDuring the day there will be various attractions along the Quay as part of Burnham on crouch Quay day. Stalls, entertainment and much more. There will also be a BBQ and bar at the Crouch YC.
