As you know each year the West Mersea Town Regatta Committee organise and hold a ‘Cobmarsh Island Marathon’. For the past 2 years they have included an additional race for the Harkers Yard Gigs and this year is no exception.

This is always a great day, with many rowers competing in a variety of rowing races, culminating in an ‘After Cobmarsh Get Together’ in Peter Clark’s Shed, Coast Road from 7pm. (Details attached to this email.)

We would like to invite you all to come along and compete in the Gig race, which starts at 2pm and then, if you wish, join us all in the celebrations that take place throughout the racing day, plus, again if you should wish in the prize giving ceremony during the evening at Peter Clark’s Yard.

It would be great if you could let us know as soon as possible if your club is intending to participate as we need to provide boat numbers to the Town Regatta Commodore, Gary Powell, within the next couple of days and organise trailer parking.
