Those of you on Tuesday’s evening rows would of seen the stranded seal pup at the Marina. Here is an update from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue who saved the day …..

The common seal pupping season is now well underway – we (BDMLR) were called today to Burnham Yacht Harbour for a separated pup, rescued and now with our seal hospital at South Essex Wildlife Hospital. However… the pup had been moved by well meaning people and put in the marina. They can’t swim well at that age and need to haul out. For any seals you’re concerned about, please call us on 01825 765546 (24 hours) not the RSPCA, and don’t move them. Thank you!
